The sunset views from the property were stunning.
There were some frustrations during our stay at Casa Del Rio. The fireplace wasn't functioning, which was disappointing as we were looking forward to cozy nights. Additionally, the layout of our room left much to be desired, with only one nightstand available for two guests, complicating our use of CPAP machines. Overall, these challenges made our experience feel less accommodating than we had hoped.

The freshly cooked breakfasts were consistently delicious, showcasing a variety of dishes each morning. I particularly enjoyed the spacious room and the stunning sunset views from the backyard. However, we found it a bit inconvenient not to have a second nightstand for our CPAP machines, and we missed being able to use the fireplace during our stay.

Spent 4 nights in the Deluxe Queen Room at Casa Del Rio. Vicki's breakfasts were a delight, featuring freshly cooked dishes that varied each day. Doug kept our coffee and hot chocolate flowing, an everyday luxury. The room offered plenty of space, with a cozy lounge chair and a well-maintained bathroom. Each evening, watching the stunning sunset from the backyard was a highlight. The location was also convenient. just a short drive to both Bastrop State Park and the historic town. A couple of downsides included only having one nightstand for the bed, which was a hassle given our CPAP machines, and the fireplace wasn’t functional during our stay, slightly diminishing the cozy atmosphere we had hoped for. Regardless, the warm hospitality of Doug and Vicki made our stay memorable. Would definitely recommend this place, especially for those who appreciate good food and beautiful views.
